Susan C. Longo is CEO of Making Auditors Proficient (MAP), which provides financial reporting services to industry and CPA practices throughout the United States and Canada. She works with the most up-to-date technology to provide educational programming through live interactive satellite broadcasts and Web-based streaming video for Thomson Reuters and K-III Group. She served as director of development for the AICPA, the national association of CPAs. She also served as accounting department chair and dean of the business division for two universities in Pennsylvania.
Ms. Longo has written over 270 nationally published full day training manuals and over 100 monographs, with a focus on technical accounting and auditing issues. She has also developed course materials based on technical content, national and state standards, and market requests for major corporations and the top 100 accounting firms. She serves on the editorial board of Walters Kluwer and Thomson Reuters.
Ms. Longo has served on the North American Board of the Union for Reform Judaism and various URJ committees. She was Senior-Vice Chair of ARZA and now serves on the Executive Committee of the Israel Leadership Network, is Treasurer of ARZENU and was on the Chicago board of the 2019 Biennial Committee. She has served in various capacities on the executive board of North Shore Congregation Israel for over 10 year. She has served on the executive campaign committee for the University of Michigan, the executive board of the Taubman School of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Northwestern Osher Life Long Learning. She is also a national champion for Cradles to Crayons.
Ms. Longo has degrees from the University of Michigan, Gannon University, and the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in Chicago and is the proud grandmother to twenty grandchildren.
