The New Middle East: Israel, UAE, and Bahrain

Join the Baltimore Zionist District and Sharaka for a special panel discussion featuring peace activists Dr. Majid Al Sarrah, Amit Deri, and Amjad Taha. It is moderated by Caren Leven, the Executive Director of the Baltimore Zionist District. We will discuss the peace treaty, potential partnerships between the two countries, the past, and the future.

Our Speakers:

Dr. Majid Al Sarrah: An expert in public policy and international law and a specialist in economics research, from the United Arab Emirates.

Amit Deri: After ten years of service in the IDF, Amit was discharged with the rank of major and, since 2011, has been engaged in entrepreneurship, management, and social-educational activities with an emphasis on youth and teens. Amit studied civil engineering at the Technion and has a BA in political science from Haifa University, Israel.

Amjad Taha: He is a British Arab journalist based in Bahrain. He is an expert on international affairs, close to the Arabian Peninsula’s top echelons, and a very popular commentator on the media and social networks in the Arab Gulf region.
