Remembrance Day for Israel’s Fallen in Battle
The Memorial Day for Israel’s fallen soldiers, marked each year on the 4th of Iyar, is designated to commemorate the fallen dead in Israel’s battles and in terrorist attacks. As of 1953, this day serves to commemorate the fallen soldiers in Israel’s battles. Memorial Day is marked a day before Independence Day as a symbol to the price the State is forced to pay for establishment.
