Join us for A Shabbat of World Unity
On Friday 6 Cheshvan 5784 – October 20, 2023 – Parshat Noach – AZM joins in the Worldwide Unity Kabbalat Shabbat initiative of the World Zionist Organization, Jewish Agency for Israel, and Israel Ministry of Diaspora.
Kabbalat Shabbat is a moment that unites Jews around the world. As Israel is experiencing this most difficult war, we pray for unity of the Jewish people and come together in prayer for the peaceful return of the hostages and missing.
On the Unity Shabbat website you will find a Jewish-Israeli Kabbalat Shabbat ceremony; a program adapted for children; a placemat for the Shabbat table to remember the hostages and missing: and a printable Israeli flag.
Synagogues, communities, organizations, schools can participate and use the special sourcebook available for download below.
