Purim is a joyous celebration of Jewish resilience, courage, and unity.
Observed on the 14th day of the month of Adar (and on the 15th in Jerusalem), Purim commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia as told in Megillat Essther. It is a time of festive gatherings, meaningful mitzvot, and reaffirming our shared destiny as one people.
In 5786 (2026), Purim begins on the evening of March 2nd and continues through March 3rd (with Shushan Purim observed in Jerusalem on March 4th). As Purim reminds us that even in moments of uncertainty, strength and hope endure.
Resource materials are provided below to help individuals, families, schools, and synagogues celebrate Purim with joy, purpose, an strong connection to Israel and the Zionist vision.
