Shoshana Dweck serves as Co-Chair of ARZENU (Olami) and sits on the Board of ARZA. Within the Reform Movement, she holds multiple leadership positions, including serving on the Executive Board of the Union for Reform Judaism, the Executive Committee of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) North America, and the Planning and Administration Committee
of the Commission on Social Action. Within WRJ, she chairs Inclusion and Belonging and previously served as Social Justice Vice President.
Beyond the Reform Movement, Shoshana contributes broadly to the Jewish community through her role on the National Commission of the Anti-Defamation League, her service on her synagogue board, and her prior leadership on her day school board, where she oversaw fundraising and governance. She also chaired the New York Says Thank You Foundation, guiding its Stars of Hope community healing arts initiative.
In all her volunteer and professional endeavors, Shoshana draws on her background as an intellectual property and patent attorney and ergonomics engineer—fields that balance engineering, psychology, and physiology to optimize how people interact within systems. Her years at Skadden, Arps, Morrison & Foerster, and in private practice honed her ability to bridge technical, legal, and interpersonal divides, helping stakeholders collaborate and reach meaningful resolutions.
She later brought those same skills to Jewish communal leadership, serving as Federation President and later as Interim Executive Director, where she successfully guided communities through major transitions, including mergers, into thriving and sustainable futures.
