Avishai Infeld serves as the US Zionist Election Coordinator at the American Zionist Movement.
Originally from New Jersey, Avishai has been very involved in the Jewish and pro-Israel community throughout his life. The importance of getting involved in the community was instilled in him by his family from a young age. As he pursued his degree in political science and Jewish studies at McGill University, Avishai participated in numerous leadership programs such as the CJPAC Fellowship, AJC Campus Global Board, and the Meorot Fellowship. A very active member of the Jewish community on campus, he sat on the Hillel board for three years, part of which was spent as VP Israel. Avishai was also elected by McGill’s undergraduate arts students to serve as one of their representatives on the student government’s Legislative Council.
A highlight of Avishai’s college experience was spending an exchange semester at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. While he had been to Israel many times previously, he was able to truly immerse himself and gain a very strong understanding of Israeli society.
Avishai spent his summers in college equally as involved in the community, from working as a camp counsellor to interning at the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Another of Avishai’s passions is politics and he is proud to have volunteered on campaigns in the US and Canada.
Avishai came to AZM from Hillel Montreal and Montreal Jewish Federation where he worked as the Advocacy Associate. It was a challenging yet highly rewarding experience that only solidified his passion for community work.
