Isaac Blachor, Vice President

Isaac Blachor, AZM Vice President, is currently Vice President of the Religious Zionists of America. An elected member of Vaad Hapoel, he attended the last 5 World Zionist Congresses. He previously served as the Treasurer of the American Zionist Movement. In addition, he has been active in the Jewish National Fund since he served as National JNF Vice President for the American Zionist Youth Council in the early 1960s and he served as JNF National Secretary for eight years before being elected to his current position as the JNF Vice President for Israel Relations. Mr. Blachor also served as Chair of the Long Island Region of State of Israel Bonds, an organization which has twice honored him for his lay leadership services. For more than 30 years he served as a director and officer of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC) including 10 years as the Chairman of the Board. An attorney, he has been an active member of the American (ABA), New York State (NYSBA), and Nassau County Bar Associations, and is past President of the Jewish Lawyers’ Association. Mr. Blachor founded numerous charitable organizations and served as the founder of and legal counsel to, the Holocaust Memorial and Educational Center of Nassau County, the Friends of the Israel Sports Centres for the Disabled, the Friends of Israel Scouts, and the Friends of Otzar Haposkim.
